Alabama Technology Network Center

The Alabama Technology Network is Alabama’s affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), which provides hands-on assistance and training to smaller companies.

Office for Freight, Logistics, and Transportation

The automotive, aerospace and defense, aviation, logistics and distribution industries are growing and transforming the Alabama economy.  Increasingly these manufacturers depend on infrastructure for international import and export as well as for just-in-time delivery.  Sustaining the growth of these industry clusters requires an adequate infrastructure, one that includes highway, rail, air cargo and sea.  This office is assessing the infrastructure and logistical needs for growing Alabama industry.

The Office for Supply Chain Management’s  mission is to utilize our expertise and capabilities to develop new management strategies, techniques and competencies to help firms and government agencies manage the rapid changes, high risks and uncertainties that characterize high-technology industry.
