Medical ClipboardHuntsville, Ala.- July 9, 2013–  UAHuntsville ATN (Alabama Technology Network) in cooperation with Auburn ATN will be hosting a Lean Healthcare Certificate Series at the UAHuntsville campus August 12-15.  This four day course offers application both in the classroom and hands-on simulation for medical professionals to apply Lean concepts to their work environment.  The ultimate goal of the training will be a cultural transformation attempting to eliminate any unnecessary actions that take away value from the patients.

The training will focus on the Lean leader and their role and vision for improvement. In addition, the focus is geared toward how the Lean leader can develop a strategy for effectively implementing the process of continuous improvement and sustaining it within an organization.
