Alabama Businesses Make Upgrades to Save Energy & Reduce Operating Expenses using Loan program

Dear State of Alabama Commercial and Industrial Businesses:

As we start into the new year, we would like to first thank those who made 2013 such a successful year for the AlabamaSAVES program, and second remind everyone in the energy efficiency community of the availability of low cost funding through the program for their 2014 commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects located in Alabama.  In 2013, the program closed 19 loans, totaling over $15 million in financing, with the energy conservation measures ranging from lighting retrofits, HVAC and controls upgrades, new roofing, water conservation devices, and solar PV installations.  The program has strong momentum going into 2014 with over $30 million in funding capacity remaining.  With the prospect of an increasing interest rate environment, now is the time to lock in the low cost funding available through the program.

We look forward to extending the Program’s success into 2014 and would like to learn of any commercial or industrial energy efficiency projects in Alabama that you or your team may be aware of.  If there are any, we would be glad to discuss and/or we invite you to encourage the project to submit for financing through the program.

We look forward to working with you and your organization to further the success of commercial and industrial energy efficiency in the State of Alabama.
