UAH is ranked fifth nationally by the National Science Foundation in federally financed aeronautical/astronautical research according to the National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) fiscal year 2011 data, which are the most recent available.
The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) also received top rankings as a research university by Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. In fact, for its size as a public university, UAH expenditures for research are the highest in the nation.
Students and faculty/staff received other honors and high rankings as part of the research university’s community in 2013.
