Aerojet Rocketdyne to build AR1 rocket engine, add 800 Alabama jobs in expansion

 Altogether, Aerojet Rocketdyne’s overall growth plans for Huntsville calls for the California-based company to add 800 jobs to support the U.S. space and defense programs for the next quarter century and beyond.

 As part of a strategic Competitive Improvement Program, Aeroject Rocketdyne previously selected Huntsville as the home of its Defense division headquarters and its Rocket Shop advanced programs.

Honda is betting big on hydrogen-powered cars

Honda announced it will offer an electric and hybrid version of its Clarity sedan at the New York Auto Show on Wednesday, but the automaker said it still sees hydrogen power as the “long-term” solution for cutting down on fossil fuel emissions.

The Clarity is Honda’s hydrogen-power sedan that offers an EPA estimated range of 366 miles – the longest range of any zero-emission vehicle.

Caterpillar, Lockheed Martin, P&G Lead Effort to Shape Future of Augmented Reality

 As technologies become more prevalent there is often a need to produce guidelines that will ensure standardization. One such technology is Augment Reality (AR). On April 11, a standard was released by UI Labs The Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance (AREA).

 The (AR) hardware and software functional requirements guidelines will help AR technology companies develop products for industrial users.
