Innovation– Is it a part of your daily Business Operations? – Leadership Event
UAH CMER – ATN along with Mitch Hamm, Center Director of Muscle Shoals – ATN, NW Shoals Community College worked closely with Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Alumni – Major Events committee to host “Innovation Driving Our Future”.
As part of the two hour learning session, ATN Center Director Mitch Hamm provided an overview of Innovation and why it is a critical and necessary process that should be integrated into all companies: service, manufacturing, and non-profit organizations. “If U.S. companies are to stay competitive in the continuing global economy, a consistent effort must be made to innovate,” said Hamm.

Leadership Alumni Get Involved with Create Activity
Along with Hamm’s presentation, UAH ATN staff assisted with an on-hands “create” activity using a tool that stimulates creative thinking by using a mix of related and non-related stimulus.

Where is future of Innovation going in the Automobile Industry?
Dr. Bharat Balasubramanian, the featured speaker for “Innovation Driving Our Future” event -highlighted future innovations in the Automotive Industry, one of the largest consumer product markets in the world. Dr. Balasubramanian, executive director, University of Alabama Research Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies, provided a glimpse of innovative technologies that are included on automobiles such as the new 2014 Mercedes S-Class sedan all the way to futuristic technologies that will show up in the next 5-15 years .
Six Sigma Black Belt Course: April-June 2014
Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven methodology for reducing variation in any process. The Six Sigma methodology–driven by the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) process–is executed by Six Sigma green belts, Six Sigma black belts, and overseen by Six Sigma master black belts.
The Six Sigma Black Belt Certification for Qualified Green Belts in-class portion consists of three full weeks of lectures, exercises and team-learning competitions. All of the statistical and quality tools needed to successfully complete a black belt project will be thoroughly presented so the student can return to his/her facility and readily apply them.

Condensed 3-Day Lean Enterprise Certificate Course offered Nov 5-7
We are offering a condensed, 3-day Lean training course (abbreviated version of our weeklong course) to be held at UAH – Shelby Center for Technology training rooms on November 5-7, 8am – 5pm each day. The cost is $1000/head, as opposed to the $1595 for the full week.
The class is meant for a smaller group with only one simluation offered.
